Consistently people ask me why I don’t reply or why I never bother to message them or hang out…and I really don’t ever know what to say. How do I say that it takes every ounce of effort for me to pull myself out of bed, to brush my teeth and take a shower. How I don’t know what i want to do with my life, how I don’t know if I even want to live it. Frankly, I didn’t think I would still be alive at this point. How do I say that my books, my art supplies and my puzzles are all collecting dust. That I find no joy in all the things I used to love, and I’m tired of trying to explain what’s wrong. Or, maybe I should talk about the fact that my bills are piling up on me and i can’t even bring myself to finish an application. Or maybe the fact that even if they called, I may not answer because I am so riddled with anxiety that I’m afraid to answer the phone. That I think people are tired of hearing me complain, or hearing how terrible i think I am. So why bother? It’s not anyone’s problem but mine.
